NEART is a partnership between Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health and the National Educational Psychological Service/Department of Education. NEART was formed  to provide a comprehensive suite of mental health and wellbeing resources, training and programmes for post-primary schools over the next 3 years. 

The NEART initiative provides learning opportunities for students to promote mental health and wellbeing, as well as mental health webinars and e-Learning courses for parents and school staffNEART will complement the supports already available in schools which include the provision of guidance counselling, the work of NEPS, as well as other existing wellbeing programmes and initiatives, including the Student Support Team structure.

NEART has already delivered one webinar last week on Understanding Anxiety – attended by 127 parents, which is a great attendance. Once you are receiving the newsletter, you’ll also receive the recordings of past webinars.

 

NEART is also currently recording 2 podcasts for parents/guardians – one on Managing Exam Stress (will go live on 28th April) and the other on Self-care as a Family during exam time (live on 9th May).
