Wild Child Day in Denis Burke Park 🍃🎨🤸🏻‍♀️

Join us for family friendly fun, crafts and scything all outdoors under the beautiful chestnut trees of Clonmel’s favourite Denis Burke Park this @nationalheritageweek!
🌳 Saturday August 24th from 1-4pm 🤩

Celebrating outdoor crafts and practices while working with natural materials, why not try your hand in…
🍃 Jelly Painting using plants from the park!
🌾 Scything demonstrations in the parks meadow!
🌱 Grass Braiding in & with the long grass!

All ages welcome!
Free event – first come, first served! ☺️

We’re really looking forward to this Family Friendly afternoon in the park which also features TWO nature walks in conjunction with @suircan ! 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

1.15pm – Wildlife Safari with Louise Garcia. Using cutting edge technology through our own phones, hunt for insects 🐞 🐜 using nets while adults access theee apps! 📲
– National Biodiversity Centre recording app,
– Cornell University’s Merlin app’,
– Obsidentify
Suitable from age 5 and up!

2.30 – Aine Lynch from @birdwatchireland will host a talk on biodiversity & its importance for the habitat, welfare and preservation of birds.
