Summer Programme for Young Adults 18 to 25 – 23rd June to 16th July
Killaloe Ballina Family Resource Centre are delighted to announce the first additions to their programme of free, hands-on workshops, running this summer for young adults aged 18–25 in the Training & Development Hub here in the centre, starting on Monday 23rd June.
Killaloe/Ballina FRC are thrilled that the following incredible tutors are coming on board to work with all the team here to deliver this fantastic programme (and there will be more announcements of further talks and workshops over the coming weeks!!!)
They are also thrilled to have UL Immersive Software Engineering department here for a talk in July, not to be missed!

Summer Programme Tutors:
Nathalie El Baba
Nathalie is a visual artist and educator based in East Clare. She is passionate about community arts and leads youth-focused projects, public murals, and creative workshops. With a strong background in school and community settings, Nathalie empowers young people through collaborative art-making and creative expression.
Rebecca Hussey
Rebecca is an experienced organic gardening tutor and qualified horticultural therapist. She specialises in sustainable food growing, seasonal planning, and eco-friendly gardening practices. Rebecca brings a nature-based, wellness-focused approach to her work, supporting learners of all levels.
Stephanie Power Woodhouse
Stephanie is a communication therapist with extensive experience supporting young people in developing life skills, emotional regulation, and independence. Her approach is practical, person-centred, and designed to foster self-confidence and growth in a supportive environment.
Leonard Ryan
Leonard is an experienced adult education tutor with a background in Culinary Skills. He delivers practical training in professional kitchen practices, food preparation, hygiene, and barista skills, supporting learners to gain valuable experience for the hospitality sector.
Immersive Software Engineering (ISE) at University of Limerick
ISE offers an inclusive, non-CAO access route for young people passionate about tech. This innovative degree combines hands-on learning with industry experience, welcoming diverse backgrounds and empowering students to build careers in software development without traditional entry barriers. Killaloe/Ballina FRC are delighted to have ISE staff join us for this exciting community talk!
