Free Webinars for Parents – Developing Psychological Happiness – How Our Thinking Style Matters with Patricia Allen-Garrett
Join us on the 10th December 7pm-8:30pm for a practical online workshop that will explore aspects of what contributes to psychological happiness.
Far from being ‘a nice to have’, happiness and positive emotions enhance our resilience in difficult times, build better health and allow us to be creative and open to others. They are essential in how we are to face and come through challenges and for us to thrive in all aspects of our lives.
This webinar is particularly relevant at this time of year where stress levels are high for both parents and children, and mental health can be low.
Originating from the pioneering work of Rogers and Maslow and built on and developed by Martin Seligman, Barbara Fredrickson, Brene Browne and Mihalyi Csikszentmihalyi amongst others, this practical workshop will explore aspects of what contributes to both psychological and emotional happiness.
During this 1-hour interactive webinar Patricia will cover:
- A brief introduction to happiness & its three levels;
- Why happiness is important to our wellbeing;
- Why is it hard to be happy?!
- The happiness ratio;
- Identifying your thinking style’s impact on your happiness;
- Some psychological happiness quick wins – tips to take away
